Montet (Broye) is located in the Broye district, in the canton of Fribourg. This municipality Les Montets
was created in January 2004 through the merger of the municipalities of Aumont, Frasses, Granges-de-Vesin
and Montet. The areas of Granges-de-Vesin and Montet are bordered by a river that
Petite-Glâne, which rises in Vuissens and then flows to the Salavaux bridge
where it flows into the Broye. The population in the municipality of Les Montets has
