The small village of Leimbach is located in the upper Wynental valley on the north-eastern ridge. The elevated position
offers an optimal panoramic view to the south with the Alps to the Jura in the north. With around 500
inhabitants, Leimbach is a small village with good infrastructure and an optimal location between the
larger centers Reinach and Kulm.
Leimbach is particularly proud of the Aargau Heritage Society’s
Thatched roof house on the Seeberg, a hamlet above the village. This house is a small
Museum. Old equipment such as Aargauer ploughs, wooden harrows and household appliances
give an idea of the former village culture.
The population of Leimbach is 523 at the end of 2023, and the municipal tax rate is
122%.
